Happy New Year!

Newbie Tips!

This page is going to be your guide when you are first learning to cast spells or dive into the arts of Witchcraft. You don't just become a Witch or Pagan overnight. It takes some time, patience, and practice. Lots of practice! So do not be disappointed if your first spells do not come out right or do not work. Not everything will work for the first time! The first thing about becoming a Witch is deciding what you like, what your interests are, and who you are as a Witch. For example, finding your path, your preferred Magick, what you love to work with, etc. And we will figure that all out right now!

Black or white Magick?:

First, you must decide if you would like to study black or white magick. In short, black magick is working with hurt spells or death spells. While White magick is working with cure spells or health spells. Once you figure out which side you are on, then you can continue with your journey. Some Witches may want to do both, and you can try your luck with doing so, just be careful!

Your Magickal Paths:

Next, it is helpful if you figure out what your practices are. Which spells do you want to dive into? What magick do you want to perform? Would it be weather magick? Herbal Magick? Elemental Magick? Healing or Reiki perhaps? Finding your paths will make it easier for you to find other Witches who can help you if you are having difficulties and it will make it easier to find your coven if you would like to join one. You can participate in several different paths. You can do Elemental Magick from time to time and then maybe try out Herbal Magick as well. You do not have to pick one path, but I do recommend that you practice one at a time so you do not get them confused or stress yourself out.

Joining a Coven:

This is not mandatory but it is recommended. If you join a group, you will find more people, with similar interests and paths as yours, that will be willing to help you when you are struggling. If you are into Healing Magick, perhaps you can join a coven that includes healing. If you prefer the dark arts, join a coven that works with Black Magick.

Solitary Witch?:

Now, it is time to determine if you would prefer to be a solitary witch or someone who prefers to work with other people. Solitary means to be by yourself. Do you prefer to work alone? Or do you want to work with someone else? If you would prefer to work with a partner, you can try to get your friends into it, or try to find someone online who is a practicing Witch and can help you!

Continuing your Journey:

So, you have gotten this far. You have your path, your preferred Magick side (white or black), you may or may not have a coven right now, so, what happens next? Well, as you are still beginning your journey, you can learn more about Magick and Spells in our Witch's Academy school which has many courses that you can go over and study including history, rituals, elements, ingredients for your spells, and so much more! After you learn more about Witches, and what all the tools are and their meanings, you can purchase them online or in-store somewhere, set up your own spellcasting environments (or altars), and begin your spellcasting experiences! Just be careful and be cautious. Spellcasting has its limits and it can be dangerous if you are not careful.

Need Assistence?:

Maybe you know who you are as a Witch now but you still need help or still have questions. Well, that is what we are here for! You can post your problems in the forums and a kind soul will help you out! Don't be shy! We are a friendly community and we would love to help you achieve your goals and become the best Witch you can be!
