DIY Necklace Tree

This is for you girls. It might be fun and worthwhile. We'll see... It is a (hopefully) decorative way to keep your necklaces from getting tangled. I will be using some power tools. You might enlist the help of your dad, friend, neighbor, etc.
Step 1.- Find board 3" wide (+/-)
2. Cut off 3" to make square base.
(6 minutes later)
O.K. Found board. Took a while to squirm around junk in the storage room to get to the box of wood.
Are we having fun yet?
Got it cut. OK, I didn't measure, it's not "square", but we're not building a moon rocket here, so...
Step 3. Find tree-looking twig, branch, limb, whatev.


Found one. Not perfect. But not bad.
4. Find center of base and drill hole.
This is a pretty piece of wood. It would look good stained and clear-coated, however...

5. Spray paint
6. Glue twig into base.
You could spray it with glue and sprinkle on some glitter for extra wow.




To eliminate the woodworking, you could make a base out of clay. Or put clay in a small flower pot and put the tree in it.

That's a very neat idea. A great way to make a nature related DIY craft. It would also be perfect to place your rings or bracelets on. Thank you for sharing!
