Holidays & Events: Syllabus

In the Holidays and Events course, students will learn about the many different holidays, or events, that take place in several other countries, how they celebrate, if witches or pagans celebrate as well, and how the holiday came about! They will also learn about the calendars and the variuos types that many religions or countries use to track time! This course is separated into 12 different sections, one for each month of the year in order to keep it more organized! Each month will hold many different lessons, and those lessons will each tell about a random holiday from a random country! 

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

-  Recognize many different international countries.

- Explain the history of those countries, how they came about and who started them.

- Explain who celebrates and why.

- Being able to explain if witches or pagan celebrate it at all

- Name and describe each of the three types of Calendars

- Describe and name at least a few of the different calendars used by certain religions or countries

A: 90 - 100

B: 80 - 89

C: 70 - 79

D: 60 - 69

F: 50 - Below

Successful completion of this course requires a grade of 62% or better. If a student gets below the required grade then they will fail the course altogether. That student will be able to take the course again if they decide to, an act of that, the student's roster will be reset and they can go through it again.

Every student should be expected to attend the Witch's Academy once every month, at least. If you don't log in and attend the classes for 3-4 months, your student file will be taken out of the class for the time at hand. If you decide to come back, you can private message us and we can put you back in the roster for you to continue your lessons.

In the future, retakes and extra credit might be available but depends on the situation at hand and on the final decision made by the instructor during that time. Therefore, this is a possibility. 

Homework:
The homework in the class will be completed accordingly. You won't get any busy work from the instructors. Usually, the homework will just be you answering some questions, writing some sentences, or explaining how you felt after your meditation exercises. The assignments will not ask for more than a paragraph unless that is what it takes for you to complete the task in its entirety. Some might be optional and others might go toward your grade.
