Lesson 2: Chakras Thu Dec 13, 2018 7:56 pm
Chakras
Many of you probably have read about chakras and auras but, do not get them mixed up. They are a bit different from each other. In this lesson, you will learn what chakras are and how they differ with auras.
Chakras, what?
Chakras usually refer to "wheels of energy" throughout the entire subtle body. In total, there are 7 chakras: The root or base, sacral, solar plexus, heart chakra, throat chakra, the third eye chakra, and the third eye chakra. Since everything around and inside us are moving, it is important that these chakras remain open and aligned. If there is a blockage, these energies cannot flow thus impacting our emotional and physical state.
Keeping the chakras open and flowing, is a challenging thing to accomplish, but not as difficult if you have awareness. If you have awareness in one specific area, it will help align the other chakras into place and will help balance them and keep them flowing.
The Chakras of Matter
There are three chakras of matter. These are more "physical" than anything else within nature and these start at the top of the spine.
- First Chakra: The Muladhara is the chakra of stability, security, and basic needs. It includes vertebrae, colon, and bladder. While this chakra is open, we feel safe.
- Second Chakra: The Svadhisthana is our creativity and sexual area. This has its location above the pubic bone and below the navel. This chakra is mainly responsible for our creative expressions and our creative mind and thinking. Pretty much anything creativity related.
- Third Chakra: The Manipura means lustrous gem. It is the area from the navel to the breastbone. This chakra is also our source of personal power.
The Fourth Chakra
This chakra is located near the heart and it is called anahata. This chakra is the middle of the 7 chakras which also unites the upper and lower chakras. This chakra is known as a spiritual chakra but can also serve as an "arch" or bridge, between our mind, emotions, body, and spirit. And of course, with this being the heart chakra, it is the source of our love connection.
Finally! The Chakras of Spirit
- Fifth chakra: The Vishuddha chakra is located near your throat. And with it being in your throat, of course, it is responsible for our verbal expressions and ability to speak. This includes the neck, thyroid, parathyroid glands, mouth, tongue, and jaws which is pretty much everything that allows you to speak.
- Sixth Chakra: The Anja Chakra has its location near the eyebrows. This chakra is known as the "third eye" chakra which can also be referred to as our "center of intuition". If you focus on opening this chakra, you will hone the ability to listen to your instincts more and go with your "gut feeling", your intuition. This might be one of the most important chakras out of the 7.
- Seventh Chakra: The Sahaswara Chakra, can also be called the "thousand petal lotus" chakra, is located at the crown of your head. This is the chakra of enlightenment and spiritual connection.
If you are unsure what chakras are balanced or unbalanced, follow the links provided below and take the chakra test. All you have to do is answer a few questions regarding yourself and then the results will be automatic. There will be two links provided so that you can compare results to the other site and see which chakras you need to work on opening.
