January 2nd ~ Special non-working day after New Year in Philippines

In the Philippines, January 2nd is a special non-working holiday. Because New Year's Day is the first day of January, the day after is usually declared a "rest day". Therefore, those working in government buildings or offices are not expected to work that day and will continue their working schedule the following day, January 3rd. However, if the employees are asked to work that day then their pay will increase by 30% for the hours they worked that day.
