New Comet Arising Mon Jul 13, 2020 10:44 pm
There is a rare sighting occurring this month. Astronomers and observers have located and named a new comet, they called it Neowise and you should have all month in order to view the comet before it goes away for about 6000 plus years. It is mainly visible in the Northern hemisphere. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone. The cool thing about it is, it will be visible to the naked eye. No equipment will be necessary unless desired.
Before July 14th, you were able to view the comet early in the morning before the sun have risen. However, after the 14th of July, you will then be able to view this comet in the evening. As the month ends and and the comet travels farther away from the sun, the comet will seem to be fading away.
As soon as July 23rd hits, the comet will be closest to the Earth but you will need binoculars or telescope at this point.
You will be able to find this comet by looking towards the constellation of Aurgia in the Notheast. This is for looking at the comet before sunrise. When it changes to evening, you will want to look below the big dipper's bowl.
I personally found this very interesting, and I hope to view it before the comet fades away for good. I hope all of you are or were able to see it or take pictures of it.
